About the event

This event brings the outdoor indoors, rewilding the palate and the mind with the wild tastes and stories of the local edible and medicinal plants. We introduce you to entirely seasonal, local and mostly wildcrafted teas and drinks,  seasonal food made with foraged  ingredients and the stories of these plant allies. We bring  the tastes, smells, stories and medicine of the local land to your plate.

The Pop Up Wild Food Cafe's aim is to encourage wellness, connection and sustainable living in our communities (human, plant and animal alike).  In the spirit of making meaningful connections and encouraging deeper understanding of the land and our fellow humans, we will share food and drinks together in a circle, allowing for storytime to emerge naturally and for an easy and friendly environment in which to try some yummy food, meet some new friends and get to know some of  the edible plants of the local land. This event is ideal for families and kids but it is not exclusive of single adults. All backgrounds and ages are welcome. If you have any food allergies, let us know in advance.

What is included:

  • wildcrafted seasonal herbal brews
  • cakes and other sweet treats with foraged ingredients
  • wild bakes
  • dips and ferments with medicinal local weeds
  • Story time ( sharing plant-lore and medicinal properties of the plants included in the menu)
  • Tea Meditation  plus an opportunity to share any thoughts, reflections & inspirations.
